Thanks.
There were/are moments of regret, to be sure, but my 749S track bike satiates the V-Twin desmo demons.

The seat is the stock Hyper seat that my upholsterer friend did for me as a gift. He shaved it down, shaped the pilion and covered it in suede.

The seat is the stock Hyper seat.
A friend of mine was an upholsterer who did all of the upholstery work for my cars and my customers' cars. As a gift/favor to me he shaved and shaped the stock foam and reupholstered the seat in alcantara. He made the patterns, he shaped and cut the foam, and he added the Ducati patch because I asked him to. The tank cover was a joke but I actually kinda liked it so I left it on the bike.
He did one other seat for a Hyper owner, but since he's passed on I doubt he'll be doing another one. The guy was the best upholsterer I've ever known - his work has won at Pebble Beach, the Concorso Italiano and The Quail. He was a great guy and a true craftsman ... he will be missed.
Thanks for all the kind words on the bike, guys.

The seat and tank cover looks like a "hollywood casting couch." Sorry, but My God man, How about an Elvis "velvet" painting in the living room! Cut it out!
