This bike was stolen, damaged in the process, then recovered. The previous owner elected to have the insurance company pay out for the bike being lost to theft, resulting in the bike having a salvage title.
The bike ran very well. I replaced the ignition switch, windscreen, both mirrors, both front turn signal assemblies, and both rear turn signal assemblies. I repaired the long narrow fairing on the right side just under the seat and I reattached the fast idle cable to the throttle body. The bike is in great shape now and has years of riding left.
All OEM parts were purchased through Ducati Omaha. Their website is an outstanding resource and they have outstanding customer service.
I live in South Dakota, about 20 miles from Mt. Rushmore. Lots of great roads with beautiful scenery from the Badlands to the Blackhills. I'm also 30 miles from Sturgis, home of the Sturgis Rally.
