Bike of the month - my ride
Thought I would post a few pictures of the bike before I sell it. Its a 95 916. It was completely stock when I bought it, except for some funky slip ons. I spent a few years upgrading it as budget permitted or how well my scam worked for that time.
Carbon Fiber: mostly DP and MS
Chin guard, air runners, airbox, front fender, chain guard and hugger, front vented sprocket cover, exhaust cover, heel guards, gauge cover, open clutch cover to be installed and swing arm cover.
Screens: Cox racing screens for oil and water radiator, TPO fairing screen, screens in ventilation holes of tail.
Suspension/Brakes: Upgrade to 01 996 tin coat gold forks 65 mm spacing 996 calipers with Carbone Lorraine pads, s/s lines. Rebuilt rear Ohlins shock and new Ohlins spring. FBF risers, MW clutch slave with s/s line, radial clutch and brake reservoirs and adjustable levers by Brembo, Rizoma clutch and brake fluid reservoirs.
Wheels/Tires: Forged aluminum Marchesini 10 Y spoke wheels with new Pilot Power 120/180 tires. ALTH full floating wave rotors with red carriers. s/s lines.
Paint work: Number plate scheme both nose and tail with gold pinstriping and custom period decal on tail. All clearcoated. New decals and paint to r/hand fairing, tail and nose. Mirrors painted red. Ducati Corse paint scheme on front fender with corresponding decal.
Performance: BCM inside airbox air filters, one down front sprocket, upgraded electrical wires, numerous retro titanium nuts and bolts, new aluminum axle nuts, Proflex tank pad, PIAA upgraded lights, LED integrated tail lights, Termingnoni half system with chip. Rabbit ear charger connection.
Comfort: Sargent Seat redyed all black, FBF risers
More Bling: ATM blue anodized oil breather, Cycle Cat blue anodized pressure plate with red retainer buttons, Evol license plate relocator, black keyless racing fuel cap, new DP tinted windscreen, TPO red frame plugs, new fairing and windscreen bolts, polished cf Termi exhaust tips and exhaust tubes.
I have put in over $10K in mods, bike has seen approx 100 miles the last 2 1/2 years for a total of approx 7.4K miles. No rocker issues at 6K, very rare in the 95 model 916 anyway.
Bike now runs like its on a rail with more grunt. Two AFM racers have called it super stable on test rides. They were both impressed.
Bike needs nothing except rear sets. I didn't get them because I don't like sticky pegs. As I said, thinking about selling it stage. This is a well sorted 916 and classic example of the art created by Tamburini.
The last three pictures show the redyed seat (no red piping), keyless black fuel cap and cf chainguard and hugger. Pictures also do not show polished Termi system. Except for a few frame scratches I have to touch up, bike is in mint condition.

Say it aint so Your 916 is one of the most beautiful examples of a Tamburini superbike. Hopefully you change your mind and keep the bike.
If you do sell and are willing to sell some of the cf tidbits please let me know.

Your artwork is second to none Steve, the bike is gorgeous.
My Orthopedic Surgeon has asked me twice now if he could buy the 916. He operated on me several times and has a big practice. Maybe I can get an extra $500 bucks out of him. Another rider friend of mine orginally referred me to him after my accident. He heard about him wanting to buy the bike and he asked me not to sell it to him. Laughingly, he didn't want the Doc to fall off making him unable to fix him when he crashes.
