I just changed the oil on my Multi yesterday. My 2nd change at 6k miles.
I have a full Termi system and all other carbon options and I have to say this bike is fun.
Never regret getting this bike ......
Now I have to work on an 1198S (or SF).

Multistrada
I ride a KTM SMC and I can tell you that this bike is exactly that but with tons more power and probably better sitting position. The problem is that we tend to pick one bike, and it's hard to decide, perhaps we should have one of each, this bike is butter on a casual set-up. From home to the coffee shop(in the next town) and back early, "oh and honey, I got you the groceries too"
Edit: After reading my post I realized how I can't even compare this bike to the SMC625... It can get very exciting with the SMC, I need to ride the Multistrada now that I read about it and loaded my head with pictures.

Tiger's suspension leaves a lot to be desired. The MTS kills it in that department

I'm both a Multi convert and a 999 convert. I like the 999 so much I bought a 999R. Sufice to say, it is the best bike I have ever owned or ridden, what a surprise package. The 999S I had just wasn't in the same league. The Multi is up there as well, in the all around department. Love the bike on bumpy roads and the twisties. Once I get the wind protection issue fixed, its going to be tits. At this time I can finally say I have two bikes that satisfy all my bike needs.

I love the Ugly-strada. My next street-going bike will very likely either a 1000S or an 1100S. Can't decide on displacement or the bag o quarters.

Got a brand new left over 08 yestuday.
After the test ride I left the GT at the dealer ship. I really like the fun this bike has to offer. Put 101 miles on last night and dumped the oil. Got to finish braking her in. Plan on keeping this bike.

Multi love
I ride my MTS 1100S everyday, and the more I ride it the better I like it. I have an ST4S ABS, and it is great. But the Multi is better in town, better in the mountains, and comfortable all day.

I rode a Multistrada in a brief test about 14months ago, before I switched from a Triumph Sprint ST (1050 and also a great ST bike).
I now have a 2005 model ST3 and love it, but rode the KTM Supermoto Touring as a hire bike in Europe - all in the Alps, in the twistiest and highest mountain passes going.
I loved the KTM and the only thing I prefer on my ST3 is the better vibration regime compared with the KTM's 75 deg V-twin. I've only ridden my Duke twice since my return from the holiday and it is feeling more like the bike I know, but initially after the KTM it felt unwieldy.
Do yourself a favour - try the KTM - its price is steep but it's a high quality piece of Austrian kit.
PS_ I'm from Australia, not Austria !
