Nicky Hayden Interview

Nicky Hayden, the 2006 MotoGP world champ, had his American coming-out party on January 23 at a SoCal Ducati dealership. We had a chance to sit down with him and ask him about the upcoming season riding the Desmosedici GP9 for Ducati instead of his longtime employer, Honda.

The signing of Hayden to the Ducati Marlboro MotoGP team is big news for both the racer and the manufacturer. For Ducati, this is the first time an American has served on the elite GP team, so Ducatisti on both sides of the pond will be keeping sharp eyes on the progress of the eminently likeable Hayden. And there'll be no excuses from the machinery, as Casey Stoner, Hayden's new teammate, won the 2007 MotoGP title on a Ducati and finished runner-up to Valentino Rossi in '08.

Enjoyed interview in understanding some of the problems he faces, but compaired to the Highs!!! As he said get it Right and its the Best. Have always liked Hayden, he has been just outside for too long.
Riding a beast like the latest Ducati wont be easy, but i hope he gets in harmony with the bike and then show us what he is really made of.

Hayden Rock

This is what Nicky Needs. A Family Atmosphere. It will be hard work but he's up to it.

I am 100% believe that Desmosedici GP9 will be the fastest GP bikes on the straight track as always but Hayden and Stoner's skill are no match to the Rossi's riding skills. Only if 2009 YZR M1's power is significantly lower to Desmo GP9 then Hayden and Stoner will have better chance to beat Rossi.
I love Ducati and I am a big fan of Valentino Rossi. But I do not want to see Rossi riding Desmosedici on MOTOGP as it will be boring to see Rossi with no rivals at the front on every race
