Ducati sets new sales record
June started with Troy Bayliss reaching speeds over 190 mph on the Miller Motorsports Park circuit, but his Ducati Xerox bike wasn't the only 1098 that was going fast last month.
While other manufacturers have reported a slowdown in sales, Ducati North America set a new record in June with 1,410 units sold, thanks to the popularity of bikes such as the 1098, 848 and Monster 696.
"I am pleased to report that sales were strong across the model range and have been exceptional for the newly introduced Monster 696," says Jason Chinnock, national sales manager for Ducati North America. "The 696 demand outpaced our supply for the month otherwise the new record of 1,410 units would have been higher. We will be working hard to meet that demand in the coming months and with the motorcycle market reporting slower sales, we are excited to be bucking the trend."

That's great to see; interesting to contrast this to Harley's predicament right now.

sales record
next years sales might be promising also. Buell cuastomers are already saying they are switching to Ducati . I have 2 xb12R firebolts for racing (insanely worked engines , 643 lift cams , stage 3 heads, titanium rods forged pistons , lightweight carillo rods ect ect unlimited class 1487cc Phenominal bikes great handling ) And the 1125R, also very good handling bike they are going for 6000$ new now . Cheap track day bike . Anyhow im looking at a 1098 /1198 as next bike . Buddy has 1098 like it alot . Same speed as my 1125 but 1125 also has performance pipe, intake and ECM
