Well I don`t know, for my XXXr but I installed Brembo Racing Contol ,got rid of those cheesey stock Duc ones...Your 1098R comes with the Damn near Brembo racing ones so..well I`m sure Cycle cat would know. They seem to put some serious engineering into their products

handlebar 1098R

looks like Cycle Cat is out of business actually (according to their former website that is ..)
I was actually considering a slightly higher and wider bar on my 1098R - but have it only 3 weeks so I may need to work out a bit to get by abdos in better shape to support the nose-down riding style
In all seriousness however, I looked at helibar (listed as supported for 1098 and 1098S *not* the "R" - but have an open query with the importer in the Netherlands currently) and also looking into the variobar from Gilles Tooling (German company) . Would be interested though if both are supported on the "R" version w/o too many mods or radical change in handling capabilities. My dealer says "nah" - but my body aches ...;-) as I'm not exactly 20 years old anymore...Superb bike otherwise ....

Cheers

Rik

SpeedyMoto makes an upper triple clamp that allowed me to raise the bars on my 1098s about 1/2 inch. Not wider though.

I consider a ride less than 5 hours to be short. I have often done over ten, on each of my bikes. My 999R is the least tiring.

Ride more!

Those symptoms are usually (for me) the result of 5 long winter months.

Takes a few rides to strenghten the neck muscles back to bike duty.
