Thumbs up the Secret behind the 851 Colada... Be Afraid!

I am sure some of you have read the following thread ( Thinking....do I ducati or not?) and are left wondering who is Eastbay851 and what the heck is a Colada 851…I am now about to introduce you to the Man, The Myth and the Legend (at least in his own Mind)… the following are in eb851's own words and these my fellow Ducatists are not fueled by way too much caffeine but the proper mixture of Alcohol!

the original recipe as published was first presented within the week of a truly great designer's parting. the best see what has been seen....but in a different color. Dr. Taglioni saw what others had seen (desmo)....he just opened the rest of the motorcycle world to its new color. by definition....genius....in my not so humble opinion.

and now the 851 Colada....

secret colada851 formula makes enough for 1 post Bostrum double podium summer evening
tools: 1 - blender (ours was fabbed from a slightly used 55 gallon jet fuel drum, a Dr. T 450 desmo, an extra drive chain from a Pantah and a propeller from an amphicar.) 1- barcalounger with grandma s clear plastic protection cover in place 1- i.v. rack with bags, at least one of Dr. Taglioni s beauties team: 2 asian nymphos, 2 dominican republic women("dominican republic woman" is a synonym for nymphomaniac) ingredients: 3 cigars, 50 gallons of 151 rum, 20 lbs. of ice, one pineapple, one coconut
procedure: place barcalounger outside in the sun. place the good Doctor's creations within touching distance of the barca. place i.v. rack next to barcalounger. put rum and ice in the blender (o.k. Calbulated) put lum and ice in the brendel. hord coconut and pineappre crose to brendel. brend ice and lum to death. pour into i.v. unit. have the asians assist you in stripping down to your thong. have the dominicans assist you into the barcalounger. DO NOT REVERSE THIS. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE THE DOMINICANS HELP YOU STRIP DOWN TO YOUR THONG. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRINK COLADAS IN THE AMBULANCE ON THE WAY TO THE CORONARY UNIT. have the dominicans do what they do second best...light the cigar. connect the i.v. unit. now this is critical...AFTER you are sitting down watch the asians and the dominicans get into their thongs. DO NOT DO THIS STANDING UP. if you do decide to do this standing...add to the tools required above a cell phone with Fred the amulance driver s phone number in memory. connect i.v. to right arm (left arm if you are a single swinger 748, 9*6 boy) watch the women dance and stroke the most honorable Doctor s creations. sit back and savor god s greatest creations...wonderful motorcycle racing, wonderful women, wonderful cigars, wondeful libations and ...the absolute wonder of a human mind that can create such a beautiful engineering solution as a desmodromic engine. good bye Dr. Taglioni.

Bravo ! I seem to recall that he took this to another level, wherein he introduced the two particular Puerto Rican nymh.., uh, bartenders, called "intake" and "exhaust". Some Ducati people just seem to get more fun out of life than others.

Where are you now eb851 ?

Seems to me this eb851 cat would be a welcome addition around these parts. I'm liking him!

For those of you who did not get to enjoy some of Ebs stuff on the old Ducati Index, i think you missed a lot. I still have some of the choicer stuff printed out and hanging in the shop. I could never repost it as I am sure there MUST be some kind of copyright.

Someone had a buch of really long winded posts about the reasons he needed a Ducati Cucciolo motor too. That was some funny stuff!

Ahh yes...recalling fond memories from the old "Index" days. Now all we need is a little S.A.M. to stir the pot! OK maybe not.

The notorious S.A.M. ? OH GOD NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have really made my day. LOLOLOL

That said, it is nice to know that there are some former Index types hanging around here. That Ducati site was unmatched for creativity, wit, and information; those being the "triple crown" of pleasures in my personal view.

Thanks for the smiles !

Close, but no cigar. Some things are better left as they are remembered, but thanks for the reminder of things gone by.
