We (I work with Pro Italia now for those that don't know) sold over 200 tickets in the first day today and that is only because the day ended - the phone was non-stop!

I wonder how much the taxes etc. would be to claim it? (obviously less then the bike costs) Very tempting......

Prolly as much as a Vespa...and the insurance would be a pretty penny, too. But look what you'll have!

25-28% goes to the IRS as it's not considered a gift, but taxed as income ... Ouch!

It depends on your tax bracket. As I understand it, the $72,000 would be considered income, and when added to your regular income, that amount would determine your tax bracket. So it's going to be up there, percentage-wise...

All I know is, I damn sure can't afford to win a Desmosedici!

...Setting up a paypal account would double the donations, but this is for a good cause, and I prefer doing rather than whinging, so....I called and bought 2 tickets using the CC. Spoke to a nice guy at proitalia
