Bitter Sweet...bye bye ST...
Just received a deposit on my ST4s. I don't really want to sell it, and I guess I don't have to either....but the opportunity is there to move it, make a few $$$, and get one bike off the insurance cost.
Sometime early next year, I'll be taking a leave of absence from my job as a ATC'r, to join the National Guard. Something I've always wanted to do, but just never made the time for. I'm not getting any younger (32), so it's time to either put up or shut up.
My wife consoles my loss of the ST (and my fav daily ride) by telling me I should be able to find a used MTS1200 by the time I'm out of basic and AIT. It's no wonder that we're married.
Still need to select my MOS, but thats for another time/thread.
(yeah...I said it. I'll end up with a MTS1200 probably. That damn beak is growing on me. Stupid).

Monster is almost back together. Finished the wiring up on it the other day (finally found some OEM crimpers and had a dude on the monster board hook me up with the pins/connectors....looks OEM).
Last thing for me to do is fab up a set of trellis rearsets for the monster. I'd like to make them out of Ti, turn the bits I need for pegs, pivots, and join them with tube. I need some guidance on this part, as I've never done something like this, and I'm not sure what size tube to use for the trellis bits.
Yeah, I'll be at the meetup, either on the monster, or something else.

That's tough dude. We all have to make those kinds of decisions during our lives. Hold on to the monster and follow your heart. BTW we appreciate your service!
