Are my leather gloves ruined?

I wore my gloves in the rain for a track-day, and when I came home forgot to air them out (put them in my helmet, closed the lid, and it sat for a week). I pull it out today, and there's mold...

Can I simply apply some leather cleaner/conditioner and be on my way, or have I inflicted irreparable damage?

Probably toast, if it molded I wouldn't trust the stitching or the leather.

I'd be more concerned with the funk inside the helmet.
can you turn the gloves inside out to get the mold off? If not, I would get new gloves.

As far as the integrity of the leather, it's probably fine, just furry with microbial growth. Get a good leather cleaner and conditioner and scrub 'em good then allow them to dry. They'll fit pretty tight when you first put them on (think OJ) but they'll stretch back out with use.

Did the same thing except I didn't store wet gloves in my helmet. Mine got all stretched out and fit loose now, feels like wearing yesterday's underwear -you've all done it

If you do end up buying new gloves I'll take those as I think they will be fine with some cleaning.

Yeah but at least I turn yesterdays underwear inside out so I have a fresh pair I don't think that will work well with the gloves.

I would wash the gloves or have them dry cleaned and they should be fine. I would be more worried about the helmet. I would probably pull out the lining, wash it and leave it in the sun to dry.

Wash by hand with soap and hot water, and a little bit of bleach (to kill bacteria), air dry propped open where there is some air circulation (near a fan), put on and use (they'll be stiff at first but will stretch). You probably won't need to use any leather conditioner (besides, it can leave them slippery , not good!).
