), Barrett Long (Miami, Florida) had a successful practice at 14th fastest.
2nd practice 3/3 p.m.-- things weren't going well from the start. Crew identified an oil leak and ignition problem. Barrett only completed 2 laps.
3/4 -- Larry Zullo of Moto Corse Performance and John Long of Longevity racing worked on the bike all day and with 2 minutes to spare, identified and resolved the issues. Barrett qualified 18th. After qualifying Barrett identified some suspension modifications and was able to focus on set up versus problems.
3/4 race 1-- Barrett had a rough start and was held up by some riders, but finished strong in 10th position.
This bike had been crashed during the shoot out warm up at the opening Florida CCS weekend on 2/14. The decision to repair the bike and have Barrett long race was made on Monday 3/1. Moto Corse Performance and Shift-Tech Carbon Performance congratulate Barrett on a great race 1 and looking forward to tomorrow's race 2 results.
Here some pictures of the bike before it went up to Daytona.
