Safety wire question!
In the past I have lost the pins that hold my front brake pads to my calipers. (I have the front brakes that utilize two pins and two clips to hold the pads in place, from a 2001 S4 Monster mounted onto my '95 900 CR). Now, I would like to safety wire these buggers to keep it from happenening a FOURTH time... Could/would someone post a picture of their pins that they safety wired so I can figure out how to secure them to a fixed point on the bike??? Thanks for any help or pictures that you may provide!!

This is off my old Aprilia, it uses the same two pin caliper as Ducati. Not the greatest picture, hope it helps.
Drill a 1/16" hole through the pin on both sides of the caliper. Then run safety wire between the two. I would the lost the pin on the rear caliper, and this seemed to stop it.

you don't need to have them secured to a fixed point, the provided hole in inside the caliper body, you only need to wire them to each other fig 8 style. The can't escape.
Hoping to make it easier for you

By the looks of the picture, the pin is safety wired to itself, right? If that is correct do you still use the clip or, I assume, you only use the wire.

If you're talking about a clip opposite the side I safety wired, mine didn't have a clip. There was only a very small portion of the pin coming through the other side of the caliper. Yes the pin is wired to itself on either side of the caliper material so it can't come out. mals900ss suggestion of wiring them to each other sounds ok too.
