New official Ducati club
Just got the word from Ducati Italy that a club I started has been approved as an official Ducati Club. This was one of my goals when I set up a website dedicated to organizing a couple private non-profit track days a year. The site evolved from that to recognizing Ducati racers and all racers in the local club racing scene like the AFM. I hang out with quite a few of them and really admire their determination to race. I had plans on racing this year on a 650 Twin but a hard street crash in November put the skids on that idea. From a spectator standpoint, club racing is fun and cheap to watch. There are a lot of really fast guys/gals involved in the action and its turned out to be a great hobby. Anyway, I just got an invite to a dinner for club reps at MotoGP, the dinner will have Sete Gigernau and Loris Capirossi in attendance. Unfortunately I can't make it so I'm bummed about that.
I'm pretty excited about getting the nod as an official club so I wanted the whole world to know it too.
I would like to recruit more honorary members and I plan on setting up a page to have pics of each member standing by their bike. If you would like to book mark the site and become an honorary member, simply put www.ducati-owners-group.com in your signature. This will indicate to others you support the local club racing scene. It doesn't matter if the club base is out of Sacramento, Ca., its the common principles that we share, which are participating in track days or supporting our riding peers who happen to club race. I would be grateful for this gesture and would also like to thank Ducati.ms for allowing us the means to communicate with eachother.

That's awsome news
Sorry 'bout your mishap though.
I am a new racer w/AFM this year and it Rocks.
It has improved my riding tremendously.(which is the reason I decided to give it a go)
Hope you still plan to do it.
I'll send a pic as soon as I get one.

I just got back from a road trip and I emailed the manager of Ducati Clubs worldwide and asked her the details regarding the dinner. I believe the number of representatives isn't an issue because she did ask me how many from the DOG club were going to be in attendence. She speaks broken english and thats what I understood before I told her I couldn't make it. However, since then folks like you all expressed an interest in going to hang with other Ducati people and in particular to meet Sete and Loris. At this time I'm waiting for her response because as I said I requested further information as to when, where, etc. She closed if I couldn't go to this event then for sure I would meet her at the World Ducati event in Italy. Yeah right, in my dreams. Lastly, I asked her if she needed a detailed list names, if so, I would provide that. Standby please for further information. If any of you guys/gals go I would insist on pictures with you shaking hands with our factory riders and wishing them luck on behalf of the DOG club of Sacramento.
