Coverage: Italian Motofest 2007 - Shepherdstown WVA
Folks,
Attached are pics from a group ride today to 2007 Italian Motofest in Shepherdstown WV. http://www.italianmotofest.com
Attended by myself, Dark_Daddy, 46Fan and SteveD
Tried to tell the story as best I could, weather 77 degrees sunny.
Arrived at Sheetz in Haymarket VA to meetup, from left to right: SteveD, Dark_Daddy, 46fan
After about an hour ride that was un-uneventful (Dark_Daddy's license plate fell off about 10 miles from meeting place but wasnt discovered until 40 miles later), we arrived at the event:
Things were looking up nicely!
Dark_Daddy and SteveD looking at someone (cant remember who)
Somone admiring my 999 Nero LE (cant remember who)
Show was sparsely attended despite the weather which is sad (admittedly this was early in the day)

part 2
Donnie Unger (DucPond) brought out some 851/888 candy
Monster Contingent was out in full force!
Some bikes from the '70s
Some dude with a 1098 shirt and a ducati hat... I didnt notice if he really had a 1098, but it doesnt matter anyway for some reason
Sign of the Day... they parked the ricers in the back. The event was 99 44/100% Squid Free
I am not much of a Guzzi Fan, but LOVE the paint job on this baby!!
Tri-colore!

part 3
The parking lot had 5x (or so) the number in the show and was a great show in itself!
SteveD just got this 900mile monster on Saturday from the eBay for cheap!
Dark Daddio even entered the tri-749 in the show
Donny Unger (ducpond) bought a MV-CC ($120K)
There was one of the limited edition SClassics #50

You know, I resemble that remark...
That was me in the 1098 shirt, and I most certainly have one.. Oh, the redhead would be mine as well.
Nice to meet you guys (finally), and the 749 tricolor is even better in person. Apologies to Dark_Daddy for the drool I neglected to wipe off.
And thank you for the flattering pic of me with my yap wide open

My wife and I were there too. Though we drove since I don't have a bike yet. Hoping to fix that soon, though it looks like next spring. Doesn't quite make sense to buy now when I have NO time to get it or ride it, but the sales are now...
I have pics, but they are analogue, which means a few days before I can see them.
I wish the show itself had more bikes. I was hoping for more. But I did see some nice bikes. The 749 of Dark_Daddy got all of my attention of the new bikes, and the guy with the '74 Bevel Drive 750 got the rest...
I was a tad suprised there weren't that many older superbikes around. A lot of monsters and other bikes in the parking lot, but it seemed to me there were more 1098's parked than any of the 916/998's, and there were like three total xx9's.... Course I may have missed some and I didn't take an official count...
My wife and I both had a blast (despite a tad bit of boredom on her part, thank god for the iphone) and I enjoyed Donny's talk on valve jobs, though I didn't learn much on how to do it... Suppose he did that on purpose
We ate at a place called the Bavarian Inn because it was the first place we saw, and my wife loves German food. Then we got stuck in traffic on 340 through haprers ferry on our way back home. Next Year I'll be riding in

The '74 bevel was Mike Ceccini.. That bike just came back from concorso, where it was a Judge's Choice.. I took tons of pics, will be posting soon.
