Red face My First Crash in over 15 Years

Well I had almost completed another track day season crash free until last Monday at Höckenheimring...... on my outlap I got stuffed and the dude clipped my front tire as he went by... the rest as they say is history..... No blame, no tears, you do this long enough you expect it to happen sooner or later. Myself and the bike probably would have faired better had there not been a small grassy area between the track and the paved run off, my feet caught and flipped me into the air landing on my head, wrist and pushing my helmet into my chest, I'm pretty bruised up & cracked a rib but gear did it's job. The bike slid through backwards and caught the dirt busting the clip on and bending the fairing stay all to hell, I was looking for a winter project now I got one. This is my first crash in over 15 years and 3 plus years of track days..... guess it was just my time..... Good news is it's all track plastic with the good stuff safe in the garage.....

Here is a picture the session before my crash...

Crashing sucks...but much less so if you have properly prepared for the possibility. You have, and the repair won't be too costly. Kudos to both of you!

Wow Bruntr. Glad you are OK. Never fails though, always when your guard is down, so-to-speak, trying to get off the track.

Glad you are ok. Take that piece of faring with Marlboro on it and frame it. That would look cool. If you dont want it send it to me. I'll frame it but you have to autograph it first. Get well.
