So I may be showing my ignorance here. But what is this school? Does it give you a rebate on insurance or anything like that.

In some states, when you get a ticket, you can go to traffic school and have the points erased from your record. Here in Cali, you can only do this once every 18 months and you have to pay a nominal administrative fee along with the ticket and of course the school fee. Most counties here allow doing the class online and passing a test at the end and that is what he is talking about. Other counties still make you spend a whole Saturday in a classroom to take the class The last time I did it, I took about 30-40 minutes as well
Another note for Cali folks. You are inelligible for traffic school if you get nailed with a 2-pointer (reckless, exhibition of speed, etc.), or if there is more than one moving violation on the ticket. The latter one I found out the hard way

i just did one...
http://www.drivinguniversity.com
like $50 or so, take 9 tests online (2 hours max) and then go to a "test center" which was kinkos... another 15 min final test and you are done... -5 points in VA.
make sure they work with your state and read the FAQ...

Just took this class, although unfortunatly here in southern alabama they dont have the online class availible, it also took about 4 hours of my sunday evening,, guess you could call it a honda style driving class, not quite as fast as the ducati style online driving class.
