ST3 Shop Manual - Is this legit???
Since I'm new to the European/Ducati world, I know I have a lot to learn.
I just bought an '06 ST3s and want a shop manual. Not crazy about it being on a disk. In spite of my "Google" searches and, searches on this board, I cannot find any good sources for this manual.
Does this listing on Ebay sound legit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3936&rd=1&rd=1
Something about it makes me wonder? I've read a few posts on this forum about some bad "counterfiet" shop manuals.
If in fact, the consensus is to "stay away" from this guy ---- where can I buy a Ducati Shop Manual for an '06 Ducati ST3s? I haven't tried the dealer yet but, I'm sure I will pay a premium to purchase it from one of those guys?
Thanks for your help. This has been a great forum in the few days I've been participating.
Sam

No wonder. What if you try Google instead?
Sorry, Sam. I just couldn't resist it

You'll probably need to shell out the bucks at a dealership. $160.
Desmo Times publishes a widely-respected manual for $30.

+1 on the Desmo Times manual. Like you, I am new to Ducati, lots of good information, just helped me re-build my clutch.

Wow, I purchased the disk for my S2R for like $50-60 and just print it out throw it in a 3-ring binder and your good to go. Plus when you get the pages all greasy (you do get your hands dirty right) you can simply reprint that page.

hevnbound, I have this manual, but have only used it a few times.
It seems all legit and complete to me, although all pictures are in black and white, whereas the CD version of the manual has colour throughout.

Call me a skeptic...Why would someone buy 10 copies of this manual so they could sell them on e-bay? Did they anticipate that there would be this big demand and worked out a deal with someone official from Ducati that would undercut what the dealers can sell the CD for? This $45 price tag is about $20 cheaper than if you bought the CD from a dealer. Call me a skeptic...

If you can live with a '04 ST-3 manual go to: http://www.duc.nu/manuals/
They are now charging for these. This will cost you 1.5 Eros.
Ciao!

Bill,
I believe Ducati.nu only has the user manual and not the ST3 shop manual. If I am wrong, can you please point me in the right direction. They do have the ST2 and ST4 workshop manuals for the older bikes.
Thank you,
Raj
