Bought New Ducati Jacket and Arai Helmet

I had a perfectly good jacket and helmet combination, so what did I do? I went and bought another jacket and helmet.

I have a Dainese jacket with good armour and padding that I'll wear most of the time, but this is the jacket I'll wear when I'm going out somewhere for the night and just riding the bike briefly around town. Or on really, really stinking hot and humid days when all the squids are just wearing t-shirts.

And the helmet? Well, I love the black frost finish. The painted tone on tone Arai symbol instead of a big white sticker. And the Astral-X fits my head best. My parents bought me the mid-smoke visor for Christmas.

So there you have it.

Nice! Cool too. In the last photo I think the flash caught the smooth helmet wrong...it looks skin colored...although it does fit you well.

At least I don't have to worry about helmet head anymore.

That is a really nice jacket. The helmet is sweet too however, I prefer louder colors for attention (safety) and lighter colors for coolness .... that is when I had a bike and a need for a helmet

Until the next one ....

Nice gear. Santa was kind enough to hook me up with the 80's jacket and a fresh Nolan N102. The last one held up for about 10 years. Man the new ones are plush on the level with a Shoei I own. I prefer the Nolan for a little more peripheral view & it's not uncomfortable with prescription glasses.

My new lid:

Oh no! You're one of those guys?

The ones who just have to wear the Rossi replicas.

=)

BTW I like the jacket/lid combo you chose, although I too would be just a hair concerned about visibility.

It could be worse.
He could have the AGV helmet (I do), the Nastro Azzurro Dainese leathers (I do) with matching gloves and boots by Dainese (I do).......

Then paint the bike to match.......

HA!

Rainman, I believe you'd be a very popular man at an Oregon Univ. football tailgate party with that setup.
