This one apparently has custom exhaust, but regardless I love the simplicity of the design. And as Ron pointed out, it is air cooled. As far as a Ducati cafe racer goes, I think it would be hard to improve upon this...

I love that. But, all that work to have rusty clutch springs. Bummer.
Have a good one.

But you can improve on it, in fact you pretty much have to to give the bike the performance boost it needs to be truly 'cafe', and make it a half decent 'sport' bike.
i.e. get a Sport 1000 and:
- Replace the inadequate front brakes and suspension
- Trim off some off the tail...
Do all this after repalcing the stock exhaust and tuning... of course, and then you can keep going nuts with lighter wheels and...
|
Okay... so maybe not so hard to improve upon it, but definitely more expensive.
I am also not too crazy about the tail, but it is worlds better than the one on that 1098.

When I think of cafe racer, I think of urban assault, not necessarily show bike.
Its a nice bike, but to each their own I guess.

it's kind of cool but agree they missed the mark with the light up 1098 tail light. that doesn't fit the theme at all... also agree the exhaust doesn't work for me. needed to do something else. probably nicer with one can on each side? don't really like the red wheels either. I think they got a bit confused and added too many 'modern/bling' touches to what was supposed to be a cafe racer.

I was afraid to look but I think it's pretty well done. Personally I would be tempted by this more than a stock street fighter. I prefer the front end on this.

Ugly as a hat full of arseholes.
I'd call that a rat bike, certainly not a 'cafe racer'.
Just my take on it.

A little too slick for a rat bike IMO. Not my cup of tea, but full marks for effort.
