I dig...

Agree with the previous statements, Mr. Martini does it better! But regardless, I think it looks great.

The only part that I can't agree with is the tail light. Also the decals look misplaced....

Like Iceman1098 said, I want to see the left side as well. I have a feeling they probably didn't do anything with it, hence the lack of pictures.

If they didn't relocate the battery, it'd be a real shame. All that work to leave a big battery hanging off the side seems half assed to me.

I like the over-all concept, but the execution leaves something to be desired for me. As others have said, the tail does not flow with the tank. Although, the super bike tanks don't really lend themselves to the 'cafe' look, so it's hard to work them into a 'naked' design.

That headlight fairing also just seems a bit off, and the headlight could stand to be dropped and pulled out an inch or so. Seems too bunched up to me. I don't even know what to say about that exhaust system.

Nice bike overall, but I'd take my home built 748 cafe over that in a heart beat. Just one man's opinion.

I like cafe racers, I've been a cafe fan since the early 70s when I was a little guy.

This is just ugly. more of a rat-bike if you ask me, cafe bikes are not rat bikes, Americans seem to confuse the two for some reason.
Maybe its because most Americans don't know what a cafe racer is, they seem to think it has something to do with rockabilly music too - it doesn't people...
and that is not a cafe bike.

and BTW, all that work and the evap can is still on there? FFS!

I like the overall concept. I too would change a couple of things, the exhaust is the main thing that doesn't really work for me.
But hey, I'd take that over a SF any day

Completely Agree... Ducati already makes a sweet Cafe Racer model, the one that is on the Shift Tech "Increase Your Carbon Footprint" Tee's. Not sure but I think it is the Sport/Sport Classic 1000?

This one apparently has custom exhaust, but regardless I love the simplicity of the design. And as Ron pointed out, it is air cooled. As far as a Ducati cafe racer goes, I think it would be hard to improve upon this...

Yeah a Sport 1000 is the only thing close to / suitable for 'cafe' styling in the Ducati range.

But you can improve on it, in fact you pretty much have to to give the bike the performance boost it needs to be truly 'cafe', and make it a half decent 'sport' bike.

i.e. get a Sport 1000 and:

- Replace the inadequate front brakes and suspension
- Trim off some off the tail...

Do all this after repalcing the stock exhaust and tuning... of course, and then you can keep going nuts with lighter wheels and...

I also have bad taste...I kind like the transformation but I would also like to see the left side....Hopefully the battery has been relocated (smaller battery), and the tail light is actually ugly...To me

So they shaved the brackets for the fairing but they left the one the exhaust valve like they are going to reinstall it

I like it, except for the tail light. The exhaust is a bit H-D, but I could live with it.

Have a good one.
