The 2012 Ducati World Super Bike teams list 1198R's

In looking at the 2012 World Super Bike lineups the Ducati teams are all listing 1198R's from what I have seen, next year are they going to have to switch to the 1199 Panigale? Just curios when race versions of the new bike will be on the tracks?

as long as Ducati produces and sells at least 150 units of the 1198R, teams can keep using the 1198R(or whatever letters they use that year)
"From 2010 onwards, the minimum production number was increased to 3,000 bikes. In the past, smaller manufacturers were allowed to build as few as 150 bikes to meet the homologation requirements. Manufacturers took advantage of this by producing 'homologation specials'--highly tuned versions of their road bikes with performance parts designed especially for racing."

IIRC Ducati with race the 1199 in Euro Supersport or Superstock....the series just runs basically stock bikes. I sure some one else will chime in with better info...the 1198R is still a very potent machine. More teams are running the 1198R then any other brand in 2012 WSBK....not enough to be called the "Ducati Cup" as it was in 2003....it will still be the best bike on the grid.
