Congratulations to the Kentucky Kid. He earns a well deserved world title. Although Rossi has lost the crown, he's still the best rider in the world.

Hayden is boring... try to win the race damn it. I'm such the admitted Hayden Hater... congrats I guess. Rossi, I concur is still the best rider in the world. Haydens win makes me ill.

How about Baliss? First ride on the GP bike this season and he takes a win? Good day for Ducati.

Bayliss = awesome - jumps into first and controls the whole race
Hayden = took advantage of the gift Rossi gave him and won the prize
Rossi = no matter what place in points, this guy is the GOAT. My admiration for him knows no limits.
Pedrosa = made up for last race a bit, I think
Stoner = what will this kid do on a Duc next year? Pretty good in his first GP year
Capirex = the old guy can still get it done
Next year should be outstanding: new champ, new bike size, old champ eager to regain his throne, new blood. Come on March!

I'm going with 'What'.
The race was over as soon as Rossi fell and the rest of it was boring. Hayden didn't deserve to win the world championship. He hasn't won a race in months. Rossi DNF'd like 5 times and ruled the 2nd half of the season. I was seriously bummed to see the best rider lose the championship. Sure it would be great to see Rossi beaten, but only by somebody who is genuinely a better rider. Maybe Stoner or Pedrosa in a year or two. Hayden is not a better rider than Rossi.

Championship = Rider and motorcycle who finish races and get the most points. In ALL forms of motor racing, it is not always the best rider/driver who wins the championship, but the combination of rider, vehicle, team and luck. As my daddy used to say, "Oh well, that's racing for ya!"

Come on, you Hayden haters need to give the man some credit. First off, Rossi is never going to be beaten by a "genuinely better rider" because such a man does not exist. The only way to beat Rossi is how Hayden did it--not by dominating him (because you can't), but by a combination of consistency and luck (i.e., Toni Elias, mechanical failure, tire failure). Hayden has been able to do what no other GP rider, veteran or otherwise, has been able to do in half a decade--that's put together a solid season good enough to come out ahead of the greatest roadracer there ever was. How is THAT not deserving of a world championship?
