Pierobon's been doing this for a while, with a track-only F042 and a naked version of bike for the street: Pierobon F042
Beautiful work, but fairly pricy. I couldn't get a price off either their own website ( Home Pierobon Frames) nor their distributors' website, Boulder Motorsports ( Boulder Motor Sports | Purchase F042 Custom Race Bike), but bikeexif.com noted that its retail in January of this year was around $26K.

Nice, I like the F042. Wish they would make (or kit?) a bike in the hypermotard geometry.

They do.
They have a frame for the Hyper and DS1000. They also have a Hyper version of the F042. I think it is called the HSTREET. Here is the frame for it. http://www.f042.com/foto.asp?foto=pf...&nFoto=2&pag=1
Picture here under the f042 link. Headlight gives it away as a former Hyper. http://www.pierobonframes.com/index.php/it/news

The bike is beautiful right down to the swingarm....what gives there? I mean it looks like they trash picked off a Suzuki GSXR600. You have this swoopy trellis frame, never seen one like this before....but extraodrinarily beautiful attached to this very angular swinger....I think Pierobon could do better asethetically.....

I have a customer who wants the X60R but we are waiting on prices and specs to be released. He did ask me to check on pricing for the F042 as well. I'm not sure where some of you guys are getting your figures, but the suggested base parts kit from my price list is over 13k alone and that will not get you a bike up to the spec of most of the pictures you see. A rough estimate for what my customer wants is going to be somewhere around 50k. If they are offering F042 bikes for 26k that sounds like a bargain to me. Street equipment is a bit more. If we do the X60R we'll post up progress in here somewhere but we'll have to see if the client goes for it once the pricing becomes available.

For F042:
I've read north of $40K from boulder motorsports. Motorcyclist did a piece on it and I remember it being north of $60K WITH the engine work (high comp pistons, titanium conn rods, etc). I'm guessing that in the $40K's would be with the standard ~90HP 1000cc motor from your stock SS.

The $26K figure came from the website I first referenced: Pierobon F042
Chances are their figures are a bit off, but they also quote £19K, which now would be $29-30K, so not that far off if the £19K in the UK is correct.
