Black Jack Floor Jack

Black Jack Floor Jack

Over the years, I seen a number of methods used to suspend the front end of Ducatis for simple jobs like changing the front tire or suspension changes. With exhaust directly under the engine case, supporting the bike can be challenging.

I recently purchased a Black Jack lift for my five bikes and found the combination of supports provided with this lift makes the job simple. Here's a couple of photos I took today while repairing a leaking fork seal.

I ordered my lift from this site. http://www.derekweaver.com/update/W-...uct.aspx?id=33

I'll have to post a picture next time I take the front wheel off.

I use an engine hoist with a nylon strap around the triple tree.

I use my son. He sits on the back, raises the front, once the tire is off we lower the forks onto jack stands. Too bad he'll be going to college in couple years...I'll have to start using the jack.
