Tires
OK, not wanting to start a big discussion but I need the collective help of this forum.
Here is my problem. Financially I am strapped. The fall riding season is here and I need new tires. I have looked around and can get a set of conti motions for less than 200 bucks installed. All I am looking for is a set to get me thru the fall riding season. Has anyone had set on their bike, or do i need to go higher in expenses. I only need about 2 or 3 thousand miles out of a set until winter shuts me down. Help!

Fine tires. Motorcyclist Magazine (or possibly Cycle World..I forget which) recently did a write-up on them as a budget tire ("Budget Buns" or something like that) and called them excellent. I wouldn't hesitate.
Your other budget option would be Shinkos (Yokohama), and they're better tires than they should be for the price.

I have done some research and when they first came out I read some negative reviews, but that seems to have changed, I dont know if they modified the tires or not. Thanks Chuck.
Shinkos, man that just creeps me out dude. Their prices are getting close to the Q2's.

Max, I hear what your saying but you can order. Set of Bridgestone BT016s from motorcyclesuperstore.com for about $260, free shipping and no tax.

Thanks Mike, I can get a set of pilot power 2 Ct's for that price. That was my tire choice last year, fantastic grip, 4,000 miles and gone. In fact that's the set I took to ECM#1. I have no experience with the bridgestones.

I had a set of Conti Motions on a Monster and thought they were very good in all weather conditions. I think the entire Continental line is underrated.
