Vicki and I wil be attending this year (with bikes and without our little girl). I'm trying to get this Bimota roadworthy so I can take it. If not, I'll probably bring the 748. We always have a good time at the US Desmo rallies. They are almost more like a family get-together....but without the fighting. Well, there may be some arguments if Clyde is there and we provoke him.

Those RSV4 bikes are wicked cool. If I take the DB2, Jim said he may bring his DB2, also. It's always a toss-up with Vicki. She loves that R1, but I can sometimes talk her into taking the Disco Duc M900ie.

I know I must know you, I've been going to desmo events for 10 years now. I've been there on various bikes over the years, tuono, 996, monster, goldwing, nsr 250.

I love bimotas, I was at ducshop dropping off my sf for service today, they've got a gorgeous new 08 delirio for $19k , if only................

THe ape is a fun bike only have about 700 miles on it so far, I am worried about all the electronics, a lot that can fail on it.

Most people trickle in on fridays, tho this year a bunch of us are going up on Thurs to get some extra riding in.

Friday nite is official beginning, registration, pizza and usdesmo gift (different at every event, t-shirts, socks, ducati towel, etc). Saturday is the main day. The event has a route but some people go their own way. THe official route is usually a total of about 250 miles broken up into a morning and afternoon route. THe route usually leads up to deals gap and those who want to ride thru it can. We generally have a designated restaurant for lunch and riders filter in thru the early afternoon. Generally about 75 riders attend the event, for the most part everyone goes off and does the route in groups of 4-5 bikes, all riding levels from very new riders to intermediate to fast guys.

Sat nite is italian food catered at the hotel, and then door prizes. Sunday, morning rides and people start heading home.

It's worth coming too.

The DB2 was my first choice and a YB11 the second....only because I couldn't afford a new DB5R...

You can always jump on this DB3 (Mantra) and then we can have yours and Birchfield's at the rallies...
