Radical Ducati Monster S2R 1000

I don't know how many people here frequent bikeexif, but I came across this post while killing time at work today. Woo quality assurance...

This bike is gorgeous. I am a huge fan of how this bike looks. The majority of the US doesn't really like naked bikes (sales figures), however I loved the Honda CB1100R concept in 2007, and this S2R reminds me a lot of that bike. Granted, the styling is way different, but it's very much naked. Now, this doesn't look like a Monster, persay, but in my opinion it's more... aggressive. Beast like, in a way. I dunno, probably just me.

Awesome bike! To me personally, the tail, tank and nose don't work together though. Like three completely different styles. I'd keep the tail and go more traditional with the tank and nose.

Wow

It looks downright wicked! It reminds me a bit of those "Transformer" bikes that appeared in the movie. There is something primitive about the exposed skeleton that contains the "organs". Very Raw. You half expect it to stand up, sprout arms and pull out a .50mm firearm of some kind.

Yea, yea ...I need to ratchet down the sci fi

For sure, there are some things that don't blend in well. The tail section and tail light immediately come to mind.

Having said that much, the bike is beautiful and highlights the fact that sometimes, less is more. Less stuff in the way of the beautiful frame, engine, exhaust, swingarm, etc.

Very nice.

I know what you mean. To me it's the nose and tail. Cafe racer tail - SBK nose. Everybody looks at design with their own perspective. Pretty darn cool in general that's for sure.
