I don't want to step on this thing and frankly I'd like to enter but drawings from small companies like this have a way of being won by friends of the business.
Not saying this is going to be run that way but I've seen it many times. So I'm skeptical.

My dad worked with a guy that won a Ferrari in one of these lotteries. This was back in the late 80's.
Anyhow, he sold the car to someone because he didn't have the money to pay the taxes on it come filing season. What a shame.
For those thinking of buying a ticket, be prepared to owe about 1/3 of the fair market value for this bike on your 2011 tax return if you win. Just a heads up. Hey, I'd still take my chances and gladly (OK, gladly is an overstatement) pay the taxes if i won it, but be aware.

Here's a message posted the president of Horsepower Charities on another forum. I'm just waiting for updates as to how many tickets they have left before I get mine.
Hello Everybody
My name is Dan Sugrue I am the president and CEO of Horsepower Charities. Its always strange to introduce myself as the President and CEO. There are 2 people in our company and when we filled our articles of incorporation my wife said she didn't want to be president and CEO which kinda left that to me.
I'll start of by saying thank you for your interest in this raffle. For those that are not from the Northern Virginia area, Horsepower Charities has organized and charity motorcycle ride for the past 4 years called the The Underwear Ride Home. This year we were offered the chance to expand and grow which in turn would allow us to help more people. We jumped on it and hit the ground running. It was me who didn't do all of his homework when it came to PayPal. I messed up and made a mistake. I paid for it dearly with having to spend hours on the phone with Paypal. By the way on a side note. The people at Paypal are some of the best people to work with. It is fixed and that is why we are excepting donations. Also by excepting Donation you aa a donor are able to write off the donation on your taxes.
We are very excited to be giving this bike away. I am a Ducati owner myself and this Bayliss is one sexy sexy bike. During the photo shoot my I spent most of the time drooling over the bike than taking pictures.
Should anybody have any questions. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you again for your support and we wish you the best of luck!
Dan "Nubbs" Sugrue
