Is it just me, or did he tag that first car, then just keep going..... Nice

This does bring up one of my concerns over videotaping rides. It only takes an instant for photos to be reclassified as evidence.

What an rookie move. Trying to catch up to his buddies and rode over his head. He had an angel on his shoulder that day!

Trying not to Monday morning quarterback it too much, but hitting 90 on the straight, then hitting that corner about 60 (which by a experienced rider could have been easily taken at 60+) shows his inexperience. I know we have all made mistakes in the past, especially when we are new, but I'm not going to show it off on the net!

I like this quote from that video's blog

"You give all riders a abd name with crap like that. Learn how to ride before you kill yourself and possibly others as well. I hope that was a squid mistake, and if it wasn't it's time to get off the road. Learn how to countersteer if that was your problem. Do something. If you want to go fast take it to the track where it's safer for the poor people around you. And if this was not you riding I apologize. But if it was. Then maybe you should pick up a new hobby. Like basket weaving. Or sniffing glue."

Watching the first clip I recognised the road. Angeles Crest Highway, outside Glendale/Pasadena California.

I just watched the full 27 min video!!! I'm f'in pissed im going to get on my soapbox now!!!

BTW the leader of the group was on a 49 or 99!

When you get a large group of riders such as this video, the skill level varies from rook to seasoned track vet. The noobs feel they got to showoff to prove their ability to the group, this means riding beyond their limits, such as this squid does!

This F$#!king shit pisses me off, this is why we have a million CHiP's on California Canyon Roads on the weekend! The wheelies down the freeway onramp, hitting 120+ on Highway 2, cutting past cars, etc...just gives us a worse rep! We are our worst enemy. Our actions, meaning sportbike riders in general, not Ducati riders alone, F'it up for everyone!

Ok Im too pissed to think straight, im off my soapbox!

I have gotten a lot of crap for my chicken strips; I think they at 3/4" on the left and 1 1/4" on the right now but they were worse a few months ago. I take it in stride because hey they will go away with training and experience. Plus in reality where can you really ride other than the track at speed without some possibility of an undesirable consequence? Even the track does not make you immune from it. I think some younger riders feel too much pressure to measure up to their more experienced chums. Which will inevitably end up in some type of tragedy for the rider and or the bike. I feel pressure on group rides even though I really try not to. I guess its natural to want to be in the thick of it. I also feel more aware when I am riding by myself and not distracted with what everyone else is doing. I actually like it better that way.

I think it's just as amazing how the cages show ZERO reaction to the bike heading them on.

I'm not sure the cars had time to react, but then again, maybe the best idea was to remain going straight, slow down and let the bike sort things out?

Man I hate seeing those movies of mental slobs on the road.

What an idiot. He could have ruined two lives as result of his own idiocy. He needs to find a new hobby. Push bike riding maybe.
