Yeah, early ones had a defect. I did mine a year ago. from what I gather (word of mouth) in 06 they came out with the better one. No diff looking at it. The bore tends to get a wear mark that tears the seal after a time. Junk the whole assy, and get a new one. EverRED factory warranty covers it.
