Foxy is back

and I need some better glass. the 18-55 that came with my camera is just not cutting it to get close enough for good pics.

despite that here are a few pics of the fox lounging in my back yard today.

thanks guys.

Last summer we had one "adopt" the kids swingset as a place to get out of the sun on long hot summer days. The good news was it ran away everytime we got close, so I didnt have to worry about the kids too much. I have seen that one around the neighborhood with a couple young pups earlier this spring. this one looked like one of the pups.

the good news for the pictures is the camera takes stuff in high enough resolution that I can crop the photos to get close. all three of those we cropped (the first one quite a bit) to get closer.

Nice shots.

I live in the Hog-backs outside Denver in a pretty built up and populated area but I still see coyotes crossing streets and such most every night; it's pretty cool. I also, however, see a ton of road kill

That is pretty much exactly what I need. Any suggestions on a good canon compatible one? Thoughts on finding a good used one so it wont break the bank?

thanks. I am clear on the other side of town - almost out by the airport. It is pretty cool seeing all the different wildlife we get around the house. except the prairie dogs. those damn things are burrowing in my yard and killing it. I keep pulling for the foxes to catch more of them.
