Thanks to all.... I got a Lumix

After reading some of the posts. I decided to get the Lumix GF1 . Whilst i am never going to be a David Bailey. I have the policy of "You get what you pay for syndrome"
I got a good deal on the camera after searching the web.
We went to London for a couple of days & i took the camera with me. It had the 20mm lens as part of the package & the saleman said i had serious kit now.
He was,nt wrong. The difference from my Ixus is startling. Its just effortless to take pictures & they look almost 3D.
I was messing with the effects that come as standard, Some i like some i dont.
I,m going to have to read up on some of the features like RAW etc as i see some of you use this.
Here are some shots.....I can take abuse.....

Nice pics. I like the 5th one the best.

In the first picture I see it's taken a F1.7 1/30th sec at ISO 500. Try dropping the ISO down a little and using a longer exposure time. It'll sharpen up the pic a little. of course I'm assuming you used a tripod.

Some very nice shots. What is that in the lower right corner of the photo of the beemer? Looks like the tip of a finger, can't tell you how many times I've done that.

It may be dirty, but it's hard to wash while riding!
