piccies of friendly wildlife taken at Mt Keith with a nickel mine approximately 700kms north east of perth in the middle of fcuking nowhere
first up - rather large bungarra (large freaking lizard) this baby is about 1.5m from tail to nose. they are usually pretty friendly but inquistive, but they startle easy and their first instinct to run and climb up a tree , unfortunately they have poor eyesigh and can mistake a person legs for a tree with unfortunate results for the owner of said legs
and secondly eddie the emu , they tend also to be curious buggers and eddie has got quite use to the miners and admin staff and casually strolls around the complex
