looking for a filter

Not long ago a member posted up some pictures of his red Superbike. Very nice pictures and someone else asked what kind of filter he used since the colors were very clear and didn't flash back and drown out the photo like many do. I'm unable to find the thread just yet, I'll keep trying but in the meantime do you know what kind of filter that might be and I'm sure one could be found for a 35mm camera.

BTW, another member with a screen name similar to Duceducator, he has his mug shot as his avatar, recommended about a year ago the Canon SD870IS Elph (I have the info on a posti from that long ago). He gave high marks for the camera as an excellent point and shoot. I still fully intend to get the camera or its latest version, I wonder if these little point and shoot cameras will accept filters?

Duceducator ?? is obviously well versed in photography, so thats another clue as to who he is. I think it may even be his profession, but I could be wrong there. I know Scott would know who I'm talking about. Furthermore, I wouldn't be playing charades like this if the new owners of this website decided to not allow us to find other members through alphabet listings. What in the hell is that all about?

You can post who he is and also a PM to me. That way I won't miss it.

I'm guessing it was more than likely a circular polarizer . point and shoots don't accept filters as far as I have seen. The filter screws onto the end of the lens ... or on some fisheyes they screw into the back of the lens. They are sold based on the size of the lens. you can get excellent pics and colors out of point and shoots if you know how to use them.

hope that helps some
