I went to the Oceana NAS Airshow last weekend. I was there on Saturday and the sky was overcase with a broken layer at around 1500 feet. This put a major damper on some of the flying but the show was still great! Here are a few pictures.

Saw the F22 do a demo flight at the air races in Reno a few weeks ago. That thing isn't a plane it's a flying saucer ! I've been around aircraft all my life and have never seen anything like it...it's just insane!

Isn't that an F-104 Starfighter in the bottom right picture? If it is I would say it was one of the oddest yet awesome looking jets in our flight history.

Yes it is the F104. The Starfighters demo team (starfighters.net) had all 3 of their F104's there. I talked to the crew chief for a while. He said they were originally scheduled to perform but got cut due to fuel/budget cutbacks by the brass at Oceana. I would love to see these 3 planes in the air together. Like you, the F104 has always been one of my favorite jets.
