What about indoor photography?

I have picked up some light stands with reflective/shoot through unbrellas.
And I am looking for some advice on portrait ala Helmut Newton style shots.

B&W shots.

What are you guys using for lighting?

I can only guess as to the type of indoor photography you are interested in.

I once read an article in a photography magazine on a Playboy photographer. The article showed all of the lights he used for a photoshoot. The lights were incredible in both their size, number, and I am sure co$t$.

I use my SB800 flashes ( i have 5 of them ) because of the portability , but yes they do have limits.
For indoor stuff take a look at Alien Bees Einstein
the bee 800's would be nice too.

here's a three light set 42" white shoot through umbrellas left and right 24x24 soft box center

same setup plus one more for top lighting and one rear fill
