Did you see it? Did they concentrate of the 'People magazine' side, or actually spend time on what makes his portraits so exciting? If the later I expect it was very interesting!

I just seen bits and pieces ,I did record it...
They did THE MAN ..
He had a gift of "Getting" what people "expected" the celibrity to look like
The PROMISE of Kennedy JFK...
Churchills Scowl after he abruptly took the cigar from his mouth...
He studied celebs before doing the shoot ,he talked to them and put them at ease ...
Did his own developing , under studies were too fraid to mess his work up...
He came to Canada after Bad times in Armenia at 15 ,from Quebec he them went to on to Boston.
Everyone Has seen his work even if they don't know it ...
Many (All) the presidents , Prime Ministers , Such a master of light ...
I will be watching it a few times for sure...
They said how it was an event taking Portraits and does one get greater satisfaction from doing work that takes 5 hours to complete the process or 5 minutes ???
Truely one of the BEST at Portraits...

I may have seen it a couple years ago. If it is what I’m thinking of it is part of a historical series on photographers of special merit and influence in photography; excellent. If it’s not I’m sorry that I missed it.

One thing that strikes me about Karsh's portraits is his use of the subjects hands. If they are included in the frame it is never just casually, but to reveal something about that person. Wonderful!

They talked about Special Paper and he mixed his own chemicals not from a bag...
He must have been really interesting to talk to when you think of all the people he met...
