Canon pro9000 printer

Anybody use or have any experience with one of these printers for home use? I can get one for $49 after rebate connected to a camera purchase and I don't know if it's a waste of money or not. Reviews I have read are mostly positive but it's fairly large and I don't want it just taking up space. I suspect that the ink and paper can get expensive.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

I have a 9000mkII also.
Yes it is BIG.
You can do some really nice large prints with it.
Calibrate your monitor and save the profile for printing. I ran into a few
color profile problems when I was printing with photoshop. CS4 was clean
just as seen on screen. LR2 printed with a little haze ( kinda foggy ). LR3
seemed to fix that, but i had to manually adjust the yellow and magenta
to -2 to match the CS4 prints.
Ink cost will go up if you use it alot, same with paper because now you can go BIG! What ever paper you get, make sure they have a printing profile you can down load.

Hell they were over $1000 a few years ago...
Can't go wrong for $50
If you use it just once...

It is a POS if you don't use it!!!

THINK of the possibilities...
Your choice..
I haven't used mine yet !!
I can Imagine but haven't jumped yet...

Quality Photos of family members or possessions (Bikes etc)

MEMORIES and GIFTS for Loved ones...
