Not only does this require no storage on the forum servers but it also embeds the picture right into the posting. Viewers don't need to open up the image one by one via the thumbnail.
I can't speak for others but when I see a group of six or seven thumbnails such as with your Orca series I typically only open one or two and may thereby miss some good pix.

I have thought about opening an account on a photo hosting website. Which sites do all of you use and why? I would like a site which displays the photos nicely (which rules out Flickr) and allows for a narrative, as I like to tell the story behind the photo. I would even be willing to (gasp!) pay (double gasp!) to have such an account or a private website.
On Don's last point, I wish Ducati.MS still had the photo display feature which allowed you to open up the photos in series instead of having to go back to the message each time and click on the next thumbnail. I assume the powers-that-be dropped that feature as a cost-saving measure.
